Spirals are 8.5mm. Please note that in gold filled, the ends of the spirals do have a small amount of exposed brass where they touch the ear. If it helps, request an extra set of silicone earring backs (to keep the earrings from touching the back of the ear), and cover the tip in front with clear nail polish.
